Privacy policy

Dead Pixel designs, builds, and hosts websites for service businesses as a $99-a-month subscription. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it — in plain language, because that's how we talk. What we collect

We collect information three ways, and only what the service actually needs:

• Intake forms. When you request a site, you give us your name, email, phone number, business name, industry, and city. If you continue to the full intake, you may also share your services, service areas, brand preferences, links to your Google Business Profile, social accounts, an existing website, reference sites you like, and the story of your business.
• Uploads. Logos, photos, and documents you provide so we can build your site. Only upload material you have the right to use.
• Billing details. Payments run through Square. Your card number goes directly to Square — we never see or store it. We keep only the references Square gives us to manage your subscription.

We do not run advertising trackers on dead-pixel.dev. Analytics pixels appear on a client's site only if that client asks us to configure them.

Lead forms on client sites

Websites we build include contact and lead forms. When a visitor submits one, we process that submission on behalf of the business that owns the site: we store it, forward it to the business, and show it in their leads inbox. That data belongs to the business, not to us. We don't use it for anything else, and visitors with questions about it should contact the business directly.

How we use your information

• To design and build your website — that's the whole point of the intake.
• To notify you: preview links, lead alerts, billing receipts, service updates.
• To bill your subscription through Square.
• To answer support requests and improve the service.

We may use Anthropic's Claude to help draft and organize site content from the information you give us. A person reviews everything before it ships.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We never rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. We share it only with the vendors that make the service run:

• Vercel — hosting for our platform and the sites we build
• Supabase — our database and file storage
• Square — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Anthropic — content assistance during site builds

Each vendor processes data only to provide its service to us. We'll also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal purposes. If you cancel, your site is unpublished but your domain stays yours, and we'll export your lead data on request. If you want your data deleted, ask — we'll remove what we're not legally required to keep.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@dead-pixel.dev from the address on your account and we'll handle it — no forms, no runaround. Depending on where you live, these rights may also be guaranteed by law; we honor them either way.

Security

Data lives in access-controlled databases with row-level security, transfers over HTTPS, and secrets stay out of code. No system is perfect, but we build like the data matters — because it's your business.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and email active subscribers. We won't quietly weaken it.
