TERMS OF SERVICE
Terms of service
Effective July 29, 2026
These are the terms for using Dead Pixel. They're written to be read, not to scare you. By requesting a site or subscribing, you agree to them. Questions go to hello@dead-pixel.dev.
1. What we do
Dead Pixel designs, builds, and hosts custom websites for service businesses. Every site is designed from scratch by a person to your business — your trade, your area, your brand. The service is a subscription: we build the site, host it, keep it running, and make ongoing edits through your client portal.
2. The price
$99 a month. That's the whole price. No setup fee, no design fee, no contracts, no minimum term. Billing is handled by Square and renews monthly until you cancel. If we ever introduce optional add-ons, they'll be priced separately and clearly — nothing gets added to your bill without your say-so.
3. See it before you pay
We build your site first. You get a live preview link, you look at the finished thing, you request changes, and only when you're happy do you subscribe. If you never subscribe, you owe us nothing and the preview comes down. No deposit, no kill fee.
4. What we need from you
- Accurate information about your business in the intake.
- Content you have the right to use. If you upload photos, logos, or text, you're telling us you own them or have permission. Don't hand us someone else's copyrighted material.
- A lawful business. We don't build sites for scams, impersonation, or anything illegal, and we can decline or cancel service for abuse.
5. What's yours
Your domain, your leads, your customers. Your domain is registered in your name and stays yours no matter what. Every lead that comes through your site belongs to you. The content you give us remains yours. While you subscribe, we license the site design and code to you as part of the service; we retain the right to show the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
6. Leads on your site
Your site includes lead forms. We process those submissions on your behalf — storing them, alerting you, and showing them in your portal. You're responsible for how you use your customers' information once we hand it to you.
7. Canceling
Cancel anytime, walk away. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no penalties, no exit interviews. When you cancel, we unpublish the site. You keep your domain, and we'll export your lead data on request. If a payment fails, we'll reach out before anything comes down; a site is only unpublished after repeated failed payments.
8. Hosting and uptime
Sites are hosted on modern infrastructure (Vercel) and we work to keep them fast and available. But we're a small company standing on third-party providers, so we can't promise perfect uptime, and we aren't liable for outages caused by those providers, your domain registrar, or the internet at large. If something breaks on our end, we fix it — that's the job.
9. Limits of liability
The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Dead Pixel isn't liable for indirect damages — lost profits, lost data, lost business — and our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
10. Our vendors
We rely on Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Square (payments), Resend (email), and Anthropic (content assistance). Your use of the service necessarily involves them; how they handle data is covered in our privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we'll update the date above and email active subscribers before the change takes effect. Continuing to subscribe after that means you accept the new terms.
12. The legal wrapper
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA. If a dispute can't be worked out over email like adults, it belongs in the courts of Arizona. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
